Building Permit Fees are in accordance with Uniform Construction
Code. Technical questions should be referred to Ms. Hoffman at 609-386-0200
ext. 141.

City and State codes and ordinances require all construction undertaken to apply for, acquire and display proper Permits. Permits expire if the work does not commence within one year after the date of issue. The permit shall be revoked if the work is abandoned for six months once the work begins. The permitting process can take anywhere from 5 to 20 working days. Therefore, careful attention should be paid to the planning and scheduling of work start and end dates.

All inspections may be requested by calling 609-386-0200 ext. 141.

an inspection:
You will also need to specify the type of inspection you are requesting. To avoid delays and assist processing, confirm what type of inspections are required for the work you are performing. Ask our office to go over those questions when picking up your permit.
Building Subcode Inspections:
Building Subcode Inspections are conducted M–F. When calling
for inspections please remember to give 24 hours advance notice as
required by the Uniform Construction Code.
Fire Subcode Inspections:
Fire Subcode Inspections are conducted M & F. When calling for
inspections please remember to give 24 hours advance notice as required
by the Uniform Construction Code.
Plumbing & Electric Inspections:
Plumbing & Electric Inspections are conducted M, W, and F. 24
hour advance notification is also required.
Elevator Inspections:
Elevator Inspections are to be scheduled directly with the NJ Dept.
of Community Affairs, Elevator Inspections Dept. by calling 609-984-7833.
