What the Councilperson At-Large Does – Introduction  page top

On November 6, 2007, I was elected by the citizens of the City of Burlington to serve as Councilwoman At-Large. Sworn in on January 1, 2008, my four-year term expires on December 31, 2011. As Councilperson At-Large, I represent the interests of all City residents. Council members perform all appropriate functions with respect to City legislation, including:

  • Preparation of Municipal Budget
  • Writing and Passage of Ordinances to govern the City
  • Voice concerns and complaints of constituents (City residents)
  • Represent citizens while solving problems and planning for the future
