What the Councilperson Ward 2 Does – Introduction | page top
Elected by the Council as the Ward 2 Councilwoman to complete the third year of a four-year term in January 1, 2008, and elected in general election as Ward 2 Councilwoman for January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2009 and elected in general election for Ward 2 Councilwoman for January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2013. As Councilwoman of Ward 2, I represent the interests of City residents of Voting Ward 2, [See Map: Voting Wards] the areas commonly referred to as London, New London and western part of Yorkshire. Council members perform all appropriate functions with respect to City legislation, including:
- Preparation of Municipal Budget
- Writing and Passage of Ordinances to govern the City
- Voice concerns and complaints of constituents (City Ward 2 residents)
- Represent Ward 2 citizens while solving problems and planning for the future

Elected to serve a four-year Term, Jan. 1, 2010– Dec. 31, 2013. Formerly appointed to serve third year of a four-year term and elected to serve fourth year of a four-year term, ending Dec. 31, 2009.

Councilperson Mercuri has a BS degree in Mathematics and Education, and serves as a Math Teacher at Burlington City High School.
