EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIVISION
The Emergency Management Coordinator operates
this Division under the supervision of the Department of
Safety performs all appropriate functions with regard to emergency
preparedness, including:
- Manages large-scale incident and planned events
- Creates all hazard mitigation and emergency operations plans
- Investigates hazardous material incidents
- Coordinates any evacuations due to emergency incidents
- Manages emergency exercises
- Handles National Incident Management System compliance for the City of Burlington
