The Department of Public Safety is operated by a Director – the Mayor, and according to City Ordinance and State regulations, performing all appropriate functions to provide for the operations of those Divisions engaged in protecting and preserving the safety of City life and property, including:

• Budgetary and Administrative Oversight
• Ordinance Compliance Review
• Inter-Divisional Cooperative Consultation
• Planning Coordinated Activities
• Resource-Sharing Advisory Services
