NOTICE TO BIDDERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the Director of Housing & Community Development for the City of Burlington, County of Burlington, State of New Jersey on January 28, 2020, at 4 P.M prevailing time, at the Department of Housing & Community Development (DHCD), City Hall, 525 Hight Street, Burlington, NJ 08016, at which time and place bids will be opened and read in public for the:

Rehabilitation of 323 Jones Avenue. 

Specifications and other bid information may be obtained at the DHCD office, City Hall, 525 High Street, Burlington, NJ 08016 during regular business hours (9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Thursdays). The City of Burlington, New Jersey (City) is currently accepting bids for the rehabilitation of 323 Jones Avenue. Bid packages are available to licensed N. J. Home Repairs Contractors and may be picked up from the Department of Housing & Community Development (DHCD), City Hall, 525 Hight Street, Burlington, NJ 08016, obtained online at www.burlingtonnj.us   by opening the “323 Jones Avenue Invitation to Bid” link under the "What’s New" section on the right hand side of the City’s home page, or by calling the Department Office at 609-386-0200, ext. 130, to request a package by mail.

 

Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and shall be marked "323 Jones Avenue Rehabilitation Bid" in the lower left-hand corner. Bids will be reviewed by staff and awarded by the Common Council at a future meeting. In awarding the bid, the City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive formalities, informalities and technicalities therein, and to award a contract to the lowest responsible bidder.

 

Anon-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 323 Jones Avenue, Burlington, NJ, on January 13, 2020, at 9:30 A.M.,for interested firms to inspect the property and to ask questions about the scope of work. Such firms are not required but are strongly encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq.  and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.
