Members Sought for Herman T. Costello Lyceum Hall Advisory Board.

The City of Burlington, NJ has passed Ordinance 03-2016 to create an Advisory Board for the Herman T. Costello Lyceum Hall.  Members are sought who have demonstrated an interest in supporting and promoting the arts and serving on the Advisory Board. 

Interested parties should submit, by January 31, 2017, a letter of interest and any appropriate supporting materials to David H. Description of Mission of Advisory Board and Members’ Duties

The City of Burlington established the Herman T. Costello Lyceum Hall as an arts and cultural center, and believes that developing a charitable plan to support the future and longevity of Lyceum Hall will enhance the quality of life, health, and welfare of Burlington’s citizens as well as accommodate the art programming and access to civic open space, tourism, and revitalization efforts of the City.  The Advisory Board to Lyceum Hall will aid in accomplishing these goals and efforts by:

-Advising on matters planned and developed by the management/director and staff of Lyceum involving programming, fundraising, and expenditure of funds raised through fundraising activities within Lyceum Hall and it related operations

-Coordinating and overseeing all funds and their related expenditures acquired through charitable donations, including NJSCA and NEA grants provided to the Board directly

-Actively promoting the Lyceum’s art programs and activities

-Overseeing the creation and enforcement of volunteer rules and regulations, to ensure transparency in Lyceum Hall operations.
