-
Why an Archive, what is an Archive for?
Owing to the passage of time, elections and other circumstances, some data on the City of Burlington NJ USA Official Online Resource must become obsolete. In order to preserve the past for research and study, and to remember those who have served the City of Burlington, we have created this Archive of Commemorative Pages.

-
Will the Archive webpages be refreshed, updated, brought up to date?
Information contained on Archive webpages is, by definition, out of date. No effort will be made to change, update or correct these pages, once they have been moved to the Archive. When appropriate, new webpages will replace those archived, so that fresh, current and correct info will always appear among the Official website’s pages.

-
How will I know if what I am reading is current, correct, up to date, the latest?
To avoid confusion, access to these old webpages is restricted to one page, the Archive Table of Contents. Every effort will be made to exclude Archive pages from “Search”, so that one is reasonably assured of accuracy in Search results.
If you see the words, "ARCHIVE OF COMMEMORATIVE PAGES" across the top of a webpage, then that page's information should be suspect. For the latest info, seek out a "regular" page of the website about your chosen topic.

-
Whatever happened to old so-and-so, who used to govern the City?
I don't know, but you might find your answer among the Archive of Commemorative Pages. Look through the Archive Table of Contents and see if that former elected official is listed there, among the ex-mayor(s), retired Council persons, administrators, etc.

-
Why do some of these Archive pages look so bad, why don't the links work, where's the missing pictures?
Links on the Archive pages may cease to function over time, as a natural result of Official website changes. Some images may vanish. This is to be expected. This website’s principal focus remains the presentation of authoritative, current information.
Use those Archive pages at your own risk.
