    For $5.00 you can purchase a current City Street Map at the Municipal Clerk's office. Call the Municipal Clerk at 609-386-0200 ext. 101. Print a smaller, less-detailed Street Map for free, from the Map of Streets page.

  • I'd like a copy of a City Ordinance... can I get a Municipal code, ordinance, or resolution, and who has got them?

    Copies of City Municipal Ordinances may be requested from the Municipal Clerk's office. Fee information is available by calling the Municipal Clerk at 609-386-0200 ext. 101. Soon, we expect to offer the entire Municipal Code online in a searchable format. Watch the Official News & Notices for an announcement.

  • Do I need a permit to hold a yard sale?

    Yes, a yard sale permit is required. A resident is allowed three yard sales per year. The first one is free. The following two are $10.00 each.
    To obtain a permit, please come in to our office:
    M-F 9am-5pm,
    City Hall
    525 High Street
    Burlington NJ 08016
    On arrival, ask for the Clerk's Office.

    We will need your name, address, the date of the sale and a rain date.

  • Is your Open Public Records Act request form online for download from this website?

    The OPRA form is now available on our website, on the Municipal Clerk’s page, under Available Materials, as the Request for Government Records Form (PDF 144KB). It is an Acrobat PDF file, which requires the free Acrobat Reader to access.

    The OPRA request forms are also available directly from our Municipal Clerk’s office.

    The completed forms must be submitted directly to the Clerk’s office as an original document with an original signature.

  • Which office offers Vital Statistics: Records of Birth, Death, Marriage, Divorce, etc.?

    The Registrar of Vital Statistics can handle all requests for locally-occurring births, deaths, marriages and deaths.
