  • Where can I find the records of how much a home sold for? You know, property records, house selling price?

    Thank you for your inquiry received through the City of Burlington Official Online Resource FAQ. This service is reserved for City residents and businesses. Your question pertains to County services. We will attempt to answer your question to the best of our ability.     Information regarding selling price of a particular home or property may be found among Deeds (and Mortgages) Public Records which are maintained by the Clerk of Burlington County. The Clerk of Burlington County’s office has made many (though not all) of these records web-accessible through the Burlington County website. An excerpt of their page appears below, to aid you in preparing to use their search form.

    The County Clerk’s Office are the recorders and keepers of land transaction documents, such as deeds, mortgages and liens with records dated from the mid-1700’s. They also maintain a computerized index of land records, searchable by name, from 1965.

    Some information may be researched, by appointment, at the Burlington County Historical Society Library:
    Burlington County Historical Society complex on High Street, open with admission T – Sat, 1 – 5 pm. These buildings contain significant historic collections, furniture and accessories, fascinating reminders of our colonial past. New displays and shows are mounted on an ongoing basis. Tours and programs are available year ’round. For details call (609) 386-4773.
    The complex includes the Corson Poley Center containing the Delia Biddle-Pugh Library– a research library specializing in county and local histories, decorative arts, preservation and genealogical materials.

    The City of Burlington Historical Society may also be able to shed some light on the history of particular properties.
