  • What’s the best way to use the FAQ /Q & A?

    In order to get the most out of this FAQ, a user should:
    1. Use “Ask FAQ” to seek solutions among all Categories.
    2. See “FAQs by Category” to view solutions offered by a particular Dept. or Division, e.g. “Housing” for questions about “building permits”.
    3. Ask L.O.I.S. (the Local Offline Information Source)
      Still can't find your answer? Don't despair– call for help from a real human being– the City receptionist. Dial 609-386-0200 ext. 0. Leave your name, telephone number, and a brief to-the-point message. The City switchboard operator will attempt to call you back and direct you to the correct department or other helpful information.
    4. Try “Ask a Question” to pose your unanswered question to the FAQ Administrator. If you think your Question may be a popular one, you may use the “Ask a Question” box so that the Administrator can consider your inquiry for future inclusion and thus improve this tool for the people of Burlington.

  • I submitted a question using “Ask a Question”– why haven’t I been answered? Why hasn’t it appeared in the FAQ?

    Questions submitted to the FAQ Administrator must be considered, answered and reviewed by appropriate City personnel prior to their inclusion. One of the factors to be weighed is how likely the question is to be raised by others. Please be patient.
    If you need more immediate answers, please call for help from the City receptionist. Dial 609-386-0200 ext. 0. Leave your name, telephone number, and a brief to-the-point message. The City switchboard operator will attempt to call you back and direct you to the correct department or other helpful information.
