  • How do I register my youth (child or children) or myself (adult or senior) for participation in sports?

    Select from among the various offerings on the Recreation Division webpage.

    Print out, fill in and return the necessary two Program Registration Forms (or request the Forms from our office):
    Activity Registration Form
    Emergency Treatment Authorization Form

    Return Forms with Fees to us M-F 9am-5pm in the Recreation office:

  • Who purchases supplies, equipment and uniforms we need for sports and other programs?

  • Who do I notify, report, remind or tell about playing or practice fields requiring maintenance?

    We will pass on your reports to the City Public Works Dept., or you may call them directly M-F 7am-3pm

  • Who is responsible for inspecting the grounds and equipment?

    We of the Division of Recreation make periodic inspections of recreation facilities. If you know of a problem or have a particular concern, please call M-F 9am-5pm

  • Can I arrange to hold a meeting at the Keegan Center?

    Yes, within certain guidelines, the office of Recreation schedules the facilities of the Recreational Center for meetings. Call us for applications, instructions and requirements M-F 9am-5pm TEL: 609-387-4070.

  • My group or club wants to use your facilities for an event, game or activity. How do I set it up?

    Recreation Div. personnel administer the rental of recreational facilities for use by special interest groups. Call us M-F 9am-5pm TEL: 609-387-4070.

  • Who does BCAAI call when in need?

    We of the Recreation Division administer the needs of the BCAAI.

  • I heard I need a coaching safety certificate to coach. Who handles that?

    The Recreation office coordinates programs to provide coaching safety certification. Call us M-F 9am-5pm TEL: 609-387-4070.

  • Where do I go to get a dog license?

    All dogs living in the City of Burlington over the age of 6 months must be licensed annually. Cats need not be licensed. Dog licenses are available from the
    Health Division / Registrar of Vital Statistics
    9am-5pm M-F
    at the
    City Hall Municipal Offices, 525 High Street, Burlington NJ 08016

    Be prepared to provide:
    certificate of rabies vaccination
    proof of spaying or neutering, if done.

    Fees are:
    Dogs spayed or neutered: $8/yr.
    Dogs NOT spayed or neutered: $11/yr.
    Dog licenses should be renewed each calendar year during the month of January! The Division of Animal Control does not issue dog licenses or cat licenses.

  • What recreational activities and programs have been offered by the City?

    Wow, glad you asked... for Youth, we've offered:

    Football, Cheerleading, Wrestling, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Summer Arts & Crafts, Summer Soccer Clinics, Kids Watercolor Classes, Youth Tennis Lessons, Bowling, etc.

    For Adults, there's:

    Adult Tennis Lessons, Intro Computer Classes, Gardening, Yoga, and the list goes on and on, with new offerings constantly added.
